Each bike is built from the frame up. The frames are fitted on a jig and mig welded.
Attention is given to detail to make each bike a true work of art!
Every frame is hand bent on a jig and welded to copy the frames of the original boardtrack bikes. On the first bike, We tried using naturally rusted parts for authenticity. We found that quality control was difficult.
The fuel tanks are fabricated from 4" steel tube. They are custom angled, welded and mounted on each frame.
Here is the welded tank with fittings, ready for finish.
The engine mounts are welded in place and the motor fitted to the frame.
We add in detail like lots of copper and brass!
Primed and painted! | ||
Each bike is painted with automotive enamels, colors of the customer's choice. Then We put a huge amount of detail into hand striping, antiquing, distressing the paint and doing custom logos on the fuel tank. All to give these machines the most authentic look possible!
Each is fitted with a new vintage style leather saddle. This is your only hardcore suspension!
The rear fender is hand fitted to each machine, in the same style as the original racers.
We searched high and low for repro braided plugwire and wireloom as used in the turn of the century. Also added in copper wire ties wherever needed for further authentic detail!
The motors are way cool! These are brand new, 2.5 horse, two stroke, single cylinder motors. They average about 100 m.p.g. They can reach breakneck speeds of 25 m.p.h.! This is as fast as you want to go on a machine with no suspension, only rear brakes and your knees in your chest! I run them, tune them and give them some break in before shipping. |
